Construction Consultation
You buy knowledge, not construction. Two hours to review one project and tell you exactly where you stand.
Second opinions / Estimate review / Buying a house / DIY guidance / Feasibility
Construction Consulting · Indianapolis, IN
Stringfellow Construction Group is a construction consulting practice. We help homeowners and property owners make expensive decisions — reading the estimates, planning the work, and finding what the insurance scope left out — with an experienced advocate on their side of the table.
Two hours by phone, Zoom, or on site · You leave with a written summary
The calls we get
“Is this quote fair?”
We read estimates for a living. Bring three bids and we'll tell you which one is priced honestly and which one is missing half the scope.
“Is this contractor telling me the truth?”
Second opinions, in writing. If the work being recommended isn't necessary, you'll know before you sign anything.
“Can I do this myself?”
Sometimes yes. We'll tell you which parts you can handle, which parts need a licensed trade, and where doing it yourself gets expensive.
“Why did insurance deny that?”
A denied line item usually means missing documentation or an unaccounted code requirement — not a closed case.
If you've said one of these out loud, you don't need a contractor yet. You need an hour.
Services
Most clients start at Tier 01 and stop there. That is deliberate. The consultation exists to give you what you actually need, not to move you up a ladder.
Construction doesn't happen until Tier 04, and Tier 04 is the smallest part of this business on purpose. What we sell is judgment, documentation, and risk reduction. The building is optional.

Tier 03 · Insurance & Property Recovery
After a fire, a flood, a storm, or a vehicle through the front of the building, the first estimate you receive is a starting position — not a final answer.
Missing scope, unaccounted code requirements, and undocumented damage are normal. They are also worth real money. We review what you were sent, walk the property, read the photographs, and write down what's actually required to put the building back.
We provide documentation, estimating, planning, and owner representation. We are not public adjusters and we do not negotiate your claim with your carrier.
Deliverables
Every engagement produces something you can hold, hand to a contractor, or take to your carrier. That is the whole difference between advice and consulting.
Process
Tell us what you're facing in a couple of sentences. We'll say whether a consultation is the right starting point — and we'll say so if it isn't.
Phone, Zoom, or on site. We go through the documents, the estimates, the photographs, and the property, and answer everything you ask.
A written summary: findings, budget range, concerns, and a recommended sequence. What you do with it from there is entirely up to you.
Fit
Saying so up front saves us both an afternoon.

The consultation is $227 for up to two hours. If it saves you one bad decision, it has already paid for itself several times over.
