Why the business changed
The most valuable thing on a job site isn't the labor.
After enough projects, a pattern shows up. The expensive mistakes almost never happen during construction. They happen weeks earlier — in a decision someone made without enough information.
The wrong contractor gets hired. A scope gets signed that's missing a third of the work. A budget gets set against a number somebody guessed at. An insurance estimate gets accepted because it arrived on letterhead and looked official. By the time anyone picks up a tool, the outcome is largely decided.
So the business moved upstream. Stringfellow still builds — selectively, for a small number of clients each year — but the primary product is now judgment, documentation, and risk reduction. It turns out that's the part people actually needed all along. It just wasn't for sale.

The advice comes before the work
We don't need you to hire us to build something in order for the engagement to be worth doing. Construction doesn't enter the picture until Tier 04, and Tier 04 is deliberately the smallest part of this business.
Everything goes in writing
Findings, budgets, scopes, schedules, risks. If we told you something that matters, you'll have it in a document you can hand to a contractor, a carrier, or a lawyer.
We'll tell you not to hire us
If your project is simple, well understood, and going fine, a consultation is a waste of your money and we'll say so on the phone. That answer costs you nothing.
We stay in our lane
We document, estimate, plan, and represent owners. We are not public adjusters and we don't negotiate claims. When you need a different professional, we'll point you at one.
Where we work
Indianapolis and about an hour out.
Marion County and the surrounding counties, initially. Consultations happen by phone or Zoom as often as they happen on site, so distance matters less for Tier 01 than it does for anything that requires walking the property. If you're outside the area and the project warrants it, call and ask.
